As you are aware, effective May 11, 2023, the terms of a franchise agreement will no longer be considered when determining affiliation.  Because of that, SBA is discontinuing its franchise eligibility review process and the Franchise Directory.  So, we expect that the Directory site will be taken down very soon.  We urge members to download the final version of the Directory as soon as possible and to preserve it in electronic or paper form.   This will assure that you have a comprehensive list of all franchise brands reviewed by SBA and found eligible for SBA-guaranteed loans as of the date of your download.  It also will preserve valuable information regarding some of the franchise brands that is included in the “notes” section of the Directory.  This data may be helpful to you as you make future eligibility decisions not related to affiliation.
