On July 9, the U.S. Senate confirmed Bill Briggs to serve as SBA’s Deputy Administrator. NAGGL strongly supported Briggs’ nomination and welcomes him to his new position. Members will remember him from his service as Deputy Associate Administrator for Capital Access during President Trump’s first term.
Also, as part of its email reminder relating to the upcoming 7(a) Connect Quarterly Update, SBA has indicated that one of the agenda items will be the introduction of Dan Pische as the new Director, Office of Financial Assistance (OFA) within the Office of Capital Access. Most recently Pische, a former banker, served as SBA’s National Director of Trade Finance in SBA’s Office of International Trade. NAGGL looks forward to working with him in his new role.
Finally, SBA will hold its next 7(a) Connect Quarterly Update on July 15 at 3 PM ET. In addition to introducing Pische in his new position, announced agenda items include presentations by OFA on SBA’s new manufacturers’ loan program and other topics, by SBA’s Office of General Counsel on environmental and franchise issues and by the Fresno Commercial Loan Servicing Center on SBA’s unified servicing platform and other topics.
