As part of the loan approval and closing process lenders complete the critical task of investigating obligor entities to ensure compliance with federal and state law and SBA program requirements. It is extremely important that lenders understand the subtle distinctions in the documentation required for various entity types (corporations, LLCs, partnerships, trusts, etc.) in order to accurately complete due diligence on borrowers – and guarantors. Join attorney David Starfield (Starfield & Smith) for a session that defines entity types, explores the documentation needed for each type to protect the guarantee, and provides tips on avoiding common due diligence perils.

Who should attend?
Anyone who processes SBA loans, conducts due diligence investigations or is otherwise responsible for program compliance.
