Tomorrow, Wednesday, February 5, at 11:15 AM ET, the Senate Small Business Committee will hold a business meeting to consider the agenda included below. Notably, the Committee will be voting to advance the nomination of Sen. Kelly Loeffler to be SBA Administrator out of Committee. Loeffler still will require a vote by the full Senate for confirmation. In addition, there are four additional bills that the Committee will be voting on before sending to the full Senate for consideration. – S. 68 Complete COVID Collections Act [Prohibits the suspension of collections on loans under $100,0000 related to COVID–19, including the PPP; Extends time for the Special Inspector General for Pandemic Recovery; Extends fraud enforcement timelines for specific COVID-19 programs )
– S. 273 Small Business Child Care Investment Act (Qualifies nonprofit child care business to be eligible for a 7(a) and 504 loans)
– S. 298 Returning SBA to Main Street Act (Requires the Administrator of the Small Business Administration to relocate 30 percent of the employees assigned to SBA headquarters to duty stations outside the Washington metropolitan area)
