Lenders need to plan for liquidation once it becomes obvious that no alternative exists. Join Margherita Stutz (Umpqua Bank) as she discusses preparing to place a loan ‘in liquidation’ and outlines the actions to take during the liquidation process to maximize recoveries. The session covers when and how to place a loan into liquidation, strategies for liquidation, appropriate fact finding (e.g., site visits) and tips for moving through the liquidation process to ensure a complete guaranty purchase package.
