Testing Out through Pre-Tests
NAGGL recognizes that lending experience can substitute for training
in some instances, and provides a way to "test out"
of fundamental courses under the following conditions:
-
Candidates may “test out” of two of the six required
fundamental courses.
-
Requests for pre-tests must be made in writing and submitted to
NAGGL. (Only one pre-test at a time may be requested.)
-
Candidates may request a second pre-test only after the results of
the first pre-test are received in the NAGGL office.
-
Candidates will complete the pre-test via the Internet unless
otherwise specified in their written request.
-
Along with the pre-test, candidates receive all related
standard course materials.
-
Completed pre-tests must be returned to NAGGL for scoring within 15
calendar days of the date the course materials and the pre-test are
received by the candidate.
-
All pre-tests are copyrighted property of NAGGL, and must be
returned to NAGGL, completed or not, within the specified time
frame.
-
All Internet-based pre-tests are machine scored; candidates may
complete the pre-test only once during the 15-day period.
-
To successfully test out of a course, the candidate must receive a
score of at least 70% on the pre-test.
