July Spotlight, Cy Fritz
NAGGL founding member Cy Fritz will
be remembered for his tireless service to the 7(a) industry. Cy passed
away in May at the age of 84.
Friend and colleague
Larry Wodarski remembers, "For almost twenty years Cy acted as an
unofficial ambassador for SBA lending in general – and NAGGL in
particular. Cy was a founding member of NAGGL in 1984."
"Cy never missed a
NAGGL conference. He attended every conference up until the time of his
retirement. When Cy retired, the NAGGL membership honored him for his
long, positive, and tireless service to the SBA lending industry," says
Wodarski.
According to
Wodarski, Cy believed firmly that his efforts in 7(a) lending directly
benefited small businesses. "Cy understood the power that a unified
group of SBA lenders brought to the small business community. Cy
always said that his work in SBA lending gave him the greatest personal
gratification of his long and varied career." Cy Fritz was a member that
got involved and always stayed connected.
