20 Years of Success
Each month during 2004, our 20th anniversary year, we took a look
back to recall an association or industry milestone. In 20 years of
service to the SBA Lending Community, NAGGL has created many
memories.
Looking Back, October - SOP Revisions
The SOP has come a long way in the
three decades since its predecessor the National Directive 510 was
issued. The 7(a) program has expanded significantly from the 1960s when
all loans were made directly by the SBA. Now, thousands of employees at
5,000 participating lenders read and interpret the SOP, making clarity
and detail more important than ever. More

1997: National Loan Authorization
With more than 70 loan authorizations existing in the field, the SBA
Authorization Committee was formed in mid-1997 to write and automate the
