Government guaranteed lending encompasses everything from home loans to
student financial aid can be wrought with confusion, frustration
and paperwork. In an industry that often gets a bad rap, the SBA 7(a)
program stands apart. The 7(a) program fills an important gap in access
to capital for small businesses, allows lenders to build relationships
by meeting borrowers' needs, and -- thanks to NAGGL’s help -- has
been streamlined, making it easier than ever for lenders to deliver
financing.
NAGGL members who take advantage of our expert technical assistance,
accurate news, in-depth training programs, and networking opportunities
have learned that with the right tools the 7(a) program can become more
rewarding than they ever expected government guaranteed
lending would be.

The 7(a) loan program can do much more than improve your CRA
rating. Used properly, it can increase liquidity and
competitiveness in the battle to court the small business borrowers that
tend to become big time accounts. More

More Than 20 Years of Service
In 1984, the SBA 7(a) program was underutilized, amounting to about $1
billion on loans per year. When NAGGL was established in 1984 to help
push legislation beneficial to the program, things started to
change. Last year, the SBA provided over 67,000 small business loans for
more than $11 billion. We’re proud of our 20 years of service to
the SBA industry, but even more proud of what we’ve accomplished
in that time. More >
