The selection process for new committee members takes place over September-December annually and slating occurs in early January.
Conference & Education
Chair: Gary Youmans, First Choice Bank
Supports NAGGL staff and board of directors' strategic direction, design and implementation of conference events and educational courses.
Chair: Rose Fletcher, BBVA Compass
Serves as a channel of communication to the Technical Issues Committee and board of directors on issues directly related to the Large Bank Lender membership segment.
Chair: Suzy Granger, DRDA
Serves as a channel of communication to NAGGL leadership on issues related to the service provider membership segment.
Chair: Kerri Agee, banc-SERV Partners
Provides suggestions and support to NAGGL staff and board of directors relating to membership recruitment and retention.
Public Policy Committee
Chair: *Rich Bradshaw, United Community Bank/ *Chris Ledesma, Wells Fargo SBA Lending
The Public Policy Committee works with NAGGL’s board of directors and staff to identify, evaluate and monitor SBA's current lending initiatives (e.g., to veterans or to underrepresented populations) and provides input to the board and members on effective ways to support the agency's goals.
SBLC & Non-Bank Lender
Chair: John Moshier, ReadyCap Lending
Serves as communication channel to NAGGL leadership on unique technical lending and other issues related to the SBLCs and non-bank lenders.
Chair: *Sylvia Merola, Coastal Securities/ *Cal Regan, Meadows Bank
Provides input and technical expertise to staff and board of directors for issues directly related to the SBA secondary market.
Chair: (East) Karen Bricken, USAmeriBank/(West) Diane Heyden, Pacific Premier Bank
Serves as a channel of communication to the Technical Issues Committee and board of directors on issues directly related to the Small Bank Lender membership segment. Since small lenders are the majority of our membership, this category is divided into two groups representing a (very) approximate division at the Mississippi River. Each committee will meet separately and come together as a larger committee for face-to-face meetings during conferences.
Chair: Cece Mitchell, Zions Bancorporation
Serves as liaison group that discusses lenders' program policy issues directly with SBA policymakers. Recommends to the board of directors what technical issues to focus on.
504 Lending Committee
Chair: Kurt Chilcott, CDC Small Business Finance
Serves the first mortgage lenders and helps them understand the 504 program.
